WORLD BOOK DAY COSTUME COMPETITION!

Our World Book Day costume competition! The quality of entries was outstanding this year so thank you to everyone who donned a costume, rummaged through their dressing up box, recycled, up-cycled and raided the charity shop.

Our winners were:

Student Group - Anouk, Evie, Annie and Daisy for Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne. Exceptional colour palate!

Student individual -  Isla for Planet of the Apes by Pierre Boulle. Absolutely inspired!

Staff individual - Mr Fellows for The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The attention to detail!

Staff Group - English Department for various literary characters. The drama! Can you guess who they all are?

There were special commendations for several others too:

Subtle Knife

Good Omens
Dr Who
War of the Worlds

       Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Northern Lights
The Invisible Man
And then, of course, there were our efforts:

Arthur Dent, Dr Katherine Johnson, Robin, Batman and Captain Nemo

So if you ever feel too embarrassed to celebrate your favourite book characters by dressing up – come and stand next to us in the Library, we will always look sillier than you. We hope you all enjoyed World Book Day as much as we did!
