The last few weeks we’ve had Year 7 Edwards join us in the
library. The first week we had a fun and lively discussion about fiction. On
the second week we had lots of questions about the British Library, it’s a good
thing that we’d done our research beforehand!
Edwards’ house produced some amazing presentations; this
time we couldn’t decide between second
and third place so we awarded joint second to Will and Ben H, and Darcy and
Lydia. Will and Ben H’s presentation on their favourite books and authors was
really interesting with lots of information. Darcy and Lydia’s presentation was
also about their favourite books and authors, but very different. Their
presentation had lots of facts about Michael Morpurgo and featured a good
selection of his books for everyone to see.
Our winners were Jack and Ben, who must have paid close
attention in Week 2 as they had a great presentation on the British Library
filled with humour and facts. It was well researched and delivered confidently.
On our final week Mrs. Osafo’s presentation on the history
of BGS generated a lot of discussion and questions, particularly on why we don’t
have a rifle range anymore! In the three rounds of the quiz, scoring was very close.
Supersquirrels won the general knowledge round, Dictators won the film
soundtrack round but Lupus claimed overall victory with their impressive
picture round score.
Thank you Edwards’ and we look forward to seeing Hilliard’s
next week!
