Catchpole’s Year 7 Library Activity

The last few weeks we’ve had Catchpoles visiting us for library activity. Before Christmas we very enthusiastically discussed our favourite fiction books, and everyone chose a book from the library that they thought they might like to read. In week 2 we did a treasure hunt and the Dewey quiz.

Having had a break over Christmas we had some great presentations to come back to. After much discussion 3rd place was awarded to Charlie and Tom for their presentation on the Library of Congress. They had lots of good information and we liked their use of images. We were also very impressed with their notes to help them deliver their presentation so well.

2nd Place went to Praneet, Eleanor, and Britney for their presentation on their Favourite Books and Authors. They worked and presented well as a team, and we learnt about familiar authors and some less so!

The overall winners were Nico, Alessio, and James with their presentation on the British Library. They were confident and were so well prepared they had colour coded notes! We were even treated to some poetry.

On the last week we had an EXTREMELY high scoring quiz. The Bobblebosses just managed to gain victory after a close general knowledge round, a very highly scoring film soundtrack round (complete with singing and dancing), and a picture round.

Thank you to Catchpoles for an entertaining 5 weeks and we look forward to welcoming Edwards next week for their library activity.
