Another great thing happened on World Book Day! Mr Harford (Head of Sixth Form), prompted by student requests to announce which costumes he liked best, inaugurated the WBD Sixth Form Tutor Group Costume Awards. He sought our input and together we decided to award a book prize to each student in the tutor group judged to have the best costumes. We created a prize list of 10 books (7 fiction and 3 non-fiction) and then got down to the sticky business of judging. The effort made by the whole of the Sixth Form was really commendable but it soon became clear that we had two front runners - Mr Nalty's form with their Peter Pan themed costumes and Ms Bassett's form who drew their inspiration from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. After much head-scratching, we took the easy way out and awarded joint first prize to both tutor groups!
